Bear Trail Xpress Limited (BTX) was founded by a father and son team,
John and Derek Tavares over a decade ago. Both John and Derek were
well seasoned in the trucking industry before Derek Tavares convinced his
father to join him on this business venture of a lifetime. With a single
customer and a borrowed trailer they began their uphill climb in the
transportation industry.
As John Tavares' style was quite different from his son's aggressive
approach, the two complimented each others business tactics and within
four years were operating ten pieces of equipment. Bear Trail Xpress
Limited (BTX) quickly became a family owned and operated company
when John's wife Natalie Tavares joined her boys to assist with the financial
aspects of the business.
Who knows what the future will hold for this dedicated company based out
of Mississauga, Ontario.
